Who Are We?

NFBC is both nationally and internationally acknowledged and unique. As a genetic-epidemiological population study framework, the research group has a high-standard clinical and methodological education. The research teams are multiprofessional and multidisciplinary and have been networking for the last 5 to 15 years.

For the administration of the NFBC we has set up a project centre, where project leader, vice leader, managing director of the project center, project secretary, statisticians and postdoctoral researchers work. Project centre run the field study management meetings once a month. The executive board, which consists of the principal investigators, meets on average twice a year. Data and publication committee follows the data delivery and publication policy. A steering group meets once a year. NFBC has been approved by the Ethics Committees of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu.
